I'm the resident car guy, with just under 10 project cars I'm playing with ranging from a 1925 Dodge touring, to a 1959 Ford Pickup shop truck. I have been into cars since I was very small, my pop started with a 1939 chevrolet that he built from an abandoned car in a field to a gorgeous family cruiser. Every since that car I have absolutely loved cars from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. It's like the designers really took the time to inspect every square inch of a car made sure it was designed well.
I spent my whole childhood drawing cars me and my pop could build, box with wheels and all kinds of pipes blowing smoke was the true reality of the cars I was designing when I was small. Most of them seemed more like something you'd see in the slow lane during rush our!! As I grew older I focused on drawing more realistic subject matter. Everyone told me to become an artist, all I could think of is "how do you get work" and "what would you get paid?" Never knowing what a graphic designer was and actually how fun it really is just never crossed my mind. When I started college, I went from Business, to Drafting and Design, then I found myself in Architecture... wow that was not for me. Then I found out I could transfer all my credits to Graphic Design. "What will we do?" was my question. I was told we get to draw. Hmmm that was right up my alley. I finished a degree in Graphic Design from Oklahoma State University, then found myself in Dallas!
Born and raised in Muskogee, Dallas is the only place other than Oklahoma I've enjoyed living.
