Idearc, the creative division behind Superpages.com,
brought in Clayton Everett to provide an edge to their direct mail and
marketing campaigns. Given tons of creative leniency, CED designed everything
from a tubular Survival Kit package that contained goodies to help get
participants through the typical boredom of a trade show, a clear spinning
disk mailer that overlaid three different specific points of interest
in San Jose; broken out into categories that mirrored their search engine,
a Back to School mailer built like a Trapper Keeper with a useable notebook
pad, a haunted house that revealed unique pairs of search results when
you opened each crickedy set of windows, and even a hardbound Pop-Up
book that creatively showed off far out facts and rankings found through
actual searches on their site.
